“Simply stated, ketamine stimulates the regeneration of new neural pathway connections—but its impact goes far beyond that. On a deeper level, it helps individuals reconnect with themselves. Used as a tool, ketamine can facilitate an emotional unpacking that allows for a shift in perspective—and with that shift, creates new space for meaningful self-growth by acknowledging and releasing what no longer serves.”

Alison has been a Physician Associate for over 16 years, with broad clinical experience across Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, and Neuroscience/Neurosurgery. Originally from New York, she has lived and practiced in California, Massachusetts, Florida, and London, UK. She earned her medical training and Physician Associate degree at Thomas Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Alison is a graduate of Naropa University’s Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies Certificate Program, trained in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). Grounded in mindfulness, compassion, and ethics, Naropa’s program integrates contemplative and psychotherapeutic approaches to explore the transformative potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy. Rooted in psychedelic justice and indigenous reciprocity, the training provided Alison with deep expertise in trauma-informed care, spiritual integration, and the clinical application of psychedelics in healing.

Since 2021, Alison has brought this knowledge into practice through direct experience working with ketamine as an integrative mental health care provider. Her approach focuses on helping patients achieve optimal mental health and overall wellness through compassionate, individualized care.

In addition to her work in integrative medicine, Alison serves part-time at San Francisco General Hospital’s Rape Treatment Center, where she provides clinical and forensic services to adult, adolescent, and pediatric survivors of sexual assault. This work reflects her profound commitment to advocacy, trauma-informed care, and support for individuals affected by violence and complex psychosocial challenges.

Alison’s patients describe her as a compassionate and intuitive communicator who creates a safe and supportive environment for healing. She is devoted to empowering each person to access their innate capacity for transformation, guiding them with care as they navigate the nuances of psychedelic medicine and self-discovery. For Alison, the greatest reward is witnessing patients reclaim their own inner healing power and connecting with the uniqueness of each person’s journey.

Outside of her clinical practice, Alison enjoys yoga, skiing, hiking, and connecting with the natural world. She is passionate about music, travel, and culture, and finds joy in the diversity of human experience.
