Medical Massage Therapist
Bonnie Woodburn, CMT
Bonnie Woodburn graduated from Indiana University Northwest with a bachelors degree in business. Bonnie became interested in holistic health and the healing arts after she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in her early 20’s while living in Northwest Indiana.
Her doctor, a kind family physician, was not able to give her any information of why she developed the disease and what to do about it.
This prompted her search to help herself and others through the study of books and classes that focused on holistic health. She was first introduced to meridian/energy flows in the body via Shiatsu. Then, when Bonnie moved to California in 1979, she learned that Mary Burmeister, the modern founder of Jin-Shin Jyutsu in Scottsdale, Arizona, would be giving a class in San Francisco.

While studying with Mary Burmeister and others, Bonnie set up a practice in San Mateo, California. Bonnie was also working as a unit manager at Peninsula Hospital, gaining a further view of the medical fields. She began working as a practitioner at the San Francisco Medical Group in 1988, with her husband Dr. Paul Lynn. Their son Zack is in his junior year at college in North Carolina and daughter Sophia is an attorney in Tampa, Florida. Bonnie has previously, and continues to teach Jin Shin Jyutsu, along with offering hourly treatment sessions.
HEALTH & HARMONY
What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?
Jin Shin Jyutsu means “The Art of the Creator through the person of compassion”.
Our health and harmony depends upon the free and even distribution of our life energy throughout our body, mind and spirit. When the stress and strain of daily living disrupts this flow, we succumb to worry, fear, anger, sadness and pretensions that increase our tendencies to become ill or “out of balance”.
